Falck USA has been selected to continue providing emergency ambulance services to more than 2 million residents and visitors in large parts of Orange County, California. The contract was approved today by the Board of Supervisors, designating Falck’s subsidiary Care Ambulance as the exclusive provider of 911 emergency ambulance service through 2025.
“We are very pleased to continue our relationship with Orange County,” said Troy Hagen, Chief Commercial Officer of Falck USA.
“This contract represents the continuance of a long and well-functioning partnership with the County, one marked by the transparency and accountability the community deserves from its ambulance provider.”
“Orange County is home to Care Ambulance, Falck’s first company in the U.S.,” Hagen continued.
“We are really happy to continue our 50 years of service in Orange County.”
U.S. is a key market
Falck is one of the largest ambulance providers in the U.S., and the new contract underscores a position that is important to Falck’s operations.
“The U.S. ambulance market is a key market to us, and we see promising growth potential in the American market. But in addition to growth, it is important for us to retain customers, and this contract renewal demonstrates our commitment to the partnership, quality of service and innovation that benefit patients, staff and the communities we serve,” said Executive Vice President Jakob Just-Bomholt, Falck’s Global Head of Ambulance.
Falck has provided emergency ambulance service to communities throughout Orange County and neighboring Los Angeles County since 1969 under former ownership as Care Ambulance. Today, Falck serves an aggregate population of more than 6 million people in California. The company, which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, also provides ambulance service in seven other U.S. states and in countries throughout Europe and South America.
