The Falck Group reported revenue in Q3 2024 at the same level as last year, while operating profit increased by DKK 3 million.
Falck’s business units delivered more healthcare services in Europe, the US and Latin America. This progress offset a decline in revenue in the European ambulance business and subsequently resulted in revenue at the same level as last year for the Falck Group.
In the third quarter of the year, Falck continued extensive and planned investments in digitalisation and development of new healthcare services. Although this led to higher costs, Falck still delivered a slightly stronger operating profit than last year.
"We continue to invest in our digital infrastructure to optimise business processes and services and support the growth of sustainable healthcare solutions. We are making long-term investments to build a stronger Falck, while at the same time enhancing operational efficiency and delivering more healthcare services. Based on our strong position in the ambulance area, we continue to work to expand healthcare at home, paving the way for better patient care and curbing hospitalisations,"
says Jakob Riis, CEO of Falck.
In the European market, Falck made progress in terms of delivering healthcare coverage to companies in Scandinavia, and more private households in Denmark took out a health subscription. In the US, there was commercial progress for Falck’s ambulance operations, while the base of healthcare subscriptions in Latin America continued to grow.
Falck maintains its expectation of organic growth at a low, single-digit level and an EBITA margin of 4-5% for the financial year 2024.
